We're installing a new pipe

Recently I started noticing a foul odor outside of my door, then anytime I walked around my yard I would get a whiff of a foul odor.

I started investigating and observed that there was a bit of wetness on a patch in my sod.

After some research and looking at my rue of land, I realized that my septic tank has an issue. I called a trenchless plumbing supplier that does all sorts of septic system and drain line repairs. I was upset I would need underground pipe repair or something like that. It turns out that the trenchless sewer line option wouldn’t work for my household, but they had to dig everything up because my drainfield was old and a mess. All those flimsy looking pipes were removed with hard plastic. The actual field was set up much better. Then everything was covered up. I thought the digging in my backyard would be a large, invasive mess. It undoubtedly was quite nice. They dug out and into my woods. They then smoothed softer sand over top of the project. That section used to be on a turf patch and a lot of woods; Now it is a large sandy spot that is easier to walk over. The best thing is that I now know I have an modern drain field and septic system. I won’t need to have that portion of my plumbing looked at for over a decade most likely, however sewer pipe lining went way faster than I thought and the cost wasn’t too bad for what they did.
