My family and I were doing our annual summer vacation down south. To save money and visit family, on our way we stopped at my aunt’s house. I love visiting my aunt’s house. You could say that she is my favorite aunt because she’s the nicest one out of my dad’s sisters. Her house is even really cool too. She has a small movie room with reclining leather seats and a big projector screen. It makes you feel like you’re in an actual movie theatre. When we got to my aunt’s house to spend the night we all agreed on a movie and watched one. While we were watching one I started feeling really warm and I began to sweat. Good thing my aunt was feeling the same way because she said that she needed to get her HVAC system checked because it was not working the same since when it was replaced a few weeks ago. She called the technician and he showed up the next morning. The technician checked the air filter, but that was clean and fine. He made sure her ductwork didn’t have any leaks. But that was fine too. Come to find out, her HVAC system was too small! The technician found this out by realizing that her system couldn’t deliver adequate cooling. To be sure that this was the issue the technician performed a detailed load calculation. This calculation means that it determines the capacity of the equipment needed and the correct distribution of air to each area of a home. Luckily my aunt was able to get a knowledgeable technician.
