Building automation system is an asset

The building automation system monitors humidity, energy usage and even switches the building over the generator in the event of a power failure

One of the best improvements I’ve made to my commercial space is the addition of a building automation system. I thought the investment would be much higher, and I was surprised by the user-friendly operation. The installation caused no disruption or damage and was completed very quickly. I was able to tailor the features of the system to suit the exact needs of my business. Having the automation system saves me a great deal of time and money. It helps to reduce carbon footprint and adds to the security of the building and comfort of my employees. The building automation contributes to everything from indoor air quality to safety. I no longer need to make sure I am the first to arrive at the building. I have the door locks programmed to security codes that allow specific employees to enter at designated times. I can limit the areas that each worker has access to. I have programmed the lights to come on and the temperature to adjust in various zones at the ideal time. I even have blinds on the windows set up to open and close according to occupancy and whether or not the sunshine is beneficial to energy efficiency. The building automation system monitors humidity, energy usage and even switches the building over the generator in the event of a power failure. I like that there are alarms on the doors, glass breakage sensors on the windows and carbon monoxide and smoke detectors throughout the building. On the exterior, we have motion-activated lights and surveillance cameras that provide real-time video.
