One of the best improvements I’ve made to my commercial space is the addition of a building automation system. I thought the investment would be much higher, plus I was surprised by the user-friendly operation; The replacement caused no disruption or harm plus was completed undoubtedly suddenly. I was able to tailor the features of the system to suit the exact needs of my business, but having the automation system saves me a great deal of time plus money. It helps to reduce carbon footprint plus adds to the security of the building plus comfort of my employees. The building automation contributes to everything from indoor air quality to safety. I no longer need to make sure I am the first to arrive at the building. I have the door locks programmed to security codes that allow particular employees to enter at designated times. I can limit the areas that each worker has access to. I have programmed the lights to come on plus the temperature to adjust in multiple zones at the ideal time. I even have blinds on the windows set up to open plus close according to occupancy plus whether or not the sun is beneficial to energy efficiency. The building automation system monitors humidity, energy usage plus even switches the building over the generator in the event of a power failure. I like that there are alarms on the doors, glass breakage sensors on the windows plus carbon monoxide plus smoke detectors throughout the building, but on the exterior, my associate and I have motion-activated lights plus surveillance cameras that provide real-time video.
