The guy I’m seeing these days is extremely humorous to me.
- My first impression of him was that he was extremely tough, manly, and distant.
However, now I realize that underneath it all he’s quite a big softy. He just keeps to himself and doesn’t have a lot to say most of the time. He pretends that he’s unaffected by everything around him, but in reality he is quite in tune with his surroundings. It doesn’t take much for him to get pissy. That’s why I have been extremely cautious not to make fun of him too much about a recent indoor air quality obstacle that we overcame together as a couple. Since we first started seeing each other, I noticed that his room was quite hot and humid at night. He told me it was because there was a single air vent positioned in the room, so there was not much cooling power. However, it felt like there was no cooling power at all. Even when the rest of the apartment felt nice and cool, his room was burning up. I always wondered how the vent could be so terrible.Well, I found out very quickly one day. I was reaching around on the floor, trying to find a lost earring when I realized that the air vent was right next to my hand. However, there was no air flowing from it. I popped the vent off, and took a look inside once and for all. That’s what I found a mass of rodent nesting blocking the air vent. It’s no wonder there was no air flow, the vent hadn’t been cleaned in a decade.
